Important Note: To engage reverse gear, you need to press the clutch first and hold it down to engage reverse. To make turns, you need to press the clutch on the steering wheel. You can turn on the windshield wipers with a button on the roof just above the steering wheel.
There is a red light on the dashboard that indicates if the handbrake is engaged. If this light is off, it means the car is ready to drive.
If you keep the clutch pressed in "D", the car will not move, perfect for going downhill more easily.
