Note: If you haven't tried the finished MIDI Sequencer V1.0 found on the Gallery, I suggest checking it out! This sequencer was rapidly built during Steam Next Fest in Feburary 2025 when the Brickadia Demo was released publicly. I built this as a challenge to myself to learn how wires work, and see what they're capable of. The inspiration came from simply seeing Synths in the music block selection. Well the Demo only lasted for 2 weeks, so I took it as a challenge. This is what I came up with in that time, initially knowing nothing about how logic gates worked and using Wires in Brickadia for the first time like everyone else. When Early Access finally released, this came with "Wires V2" where they updated how wires work, and it rendered this Sequencer entirely unusable. I decided to take a little time to fix it. I just wanted to see it working again. Now I'm sharing this on the Gallery as a showcase of how larger ideas spawn from something small and hacky like this. When I built this, I didn't consider it a prototype. I honestly felt like this was as far as I could take it. When I saw it was broken, I used that as fuel to go all-in on learning Wires and eventually created The MIDI Sequencer V1.0 available today, a far more polished and feature-rich version.
