PDHF Aux 17 shuttle
The Aux-17 is a light craft bound to the Vigil-85 Parallax class research corvette, operated covertly by members of the FIIA, or "The Pillars". The vessel is the most advanced ultra compact auxilliary type shuttle in the PDHF (Pirrbb Diaxian Huid Federation), capable of limited FTL operation via its incredibly miniaturized Pirrbb-derived twin exotic matter reactors. An AUX-A class light craft, this vessel requires "A" level command and piloting for access, one level above O, the lowest classification for multi-dimensional craft (mixed atmospheric and non-atmospheric operation) primarily due to its jump capabilities and light weapons handling. The craft is intended mostly for orbital transport, scientific instrument deployment from space to extraterrestrial landing sites, reconnaisance and other utilities. The vessel is capable of comfortably transporting 8, though a theoretical emergency maximum of 12 is possible if overhead rails are installed (note: not installed on this example). This vessel is intended for 1-3 days of independent operations without landing, depending on crew. This shuttle is a little over 5 meters long, with a powerful inertial dampening system allowing rapid stops, VTOL and VSTOL, ultra long range subspace antenna, well armored hull, powerful sublight thrusters and exotic matter drive, short range FTL capacitor, rugged landing gear, headlight, vertical and horizontal flight operation controls, 23mm gast principle cannon, accurate flight display with vital flight information (including a functioning attitude indicator), and a lockable door. [THIS BUILD WILL RECIEVE UPDATES OVER TIME WHICH WILL BE NAMED IDENTICALLY WITH ITERATIVE MARKERS I II III IV ETC.. I would still very much like to refine certain elements of the Aux-17's roleplay usability, including more interactive features to do with the cockpit interface, its own little gravity field so players stay oriented with the craft, and potentially a working HUD on the canopy to replace the analog style attitude indicator.] {{{PLEASE NOTE: This craft is meant to have a floaty, newtonian feel. It necessitates a little bit of speed to have maximum aerodynamic lift, and flies in a fairly arcadey manner outside of these limitations. It is easy to crater it if you expect it to fly like an airplane - it is meant to fly more like a lifting body or even VTOL. It is fighting physics to stay in the air. STICKY THROTTLE IS ENABLED. The microchip is a *mess* and so is the wiring. You can learn some things, and steal some other things directly from it, but it is not well thought out and is not intended to be used for reference by anyone but me. If you're trying to use it to make your own shuttle, be forewarned that it may be painful to transfer ideas from here to there.}}} If you like this craft and want to see more, please vote for me in the plane contest and future contests!
